About us

FRAMSKYN is an independent not-for-profit think tank set up to support private and public policy-makers with insights needed for economic and strategic decision-making.

We provide independent knowledge based on data and professional analysis.

We bring together leaders from industry and the political system.

We clarify complex questions and create deeper insight into them.

We strengthen the foundation for public and political debate.

FRAMSKYN was founded with initial support from Bakkafrost, Betri Bank and RJ AQUA. 

Our Board

Ana Elisenda Holden-Peters

Co-Founder and Chair

Ana has 20 years of international experience in corporate sustainability across sectors including tourism, banking, retail and aquaculture. Ana’s most recent work has focused on maximising impact by building award-winning collaborations and multi-stakeholder partnerships.

Ata Maria Bærentsen

Co-Founder, Board Member

Ata has a background as a lawyer and extensive experience in board work, consulting, and entrepreneurship. She works at the intersection of business and sustainability, with a focus on strategic transformation, leadership, and governance across industries.

Magni Mohr

Board Member

Magni Mohr is Professor in Human Physiology at the University of the Faroe Islands. He is also the Dean of the Faculty of Health and Prorector for Research and Enterprise. Magni is an international renown researcher in human physiology, exercise science, sport and public health and has worked at strong universities in England, Sweden and Denmark.

Johnny í Grótinum

Co-Founder, Board Member

Johnny is Chair of the Economic Council and The Board of Directors for Landsbanki Føroya (The Governmental Bank of the Faroe Islands), programme director at the University of the Faroe Islands. An economist with extensive leadership experience from both the private and public sector.

Funding and collaboration

We are currently fundraising for FRAMSKYN.

Our funding model is based on project‑based financing, longer term collaborations with industry, public authorities and other institutions, and one-off support from private and public partners.
